Kevin graduated from Southampton University BM BSc (Hons) and after working at Glasgow University and Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, he completed a Ph.D in prostate cancer at University College Dublin, before commencing Urology Training in the North East. Kevin was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust in 2009, and based on clinical experience gained in New York and San Francisco, set up a supraregional Male Fertility Service at Newcastle Fertility Centre that receives referrals from across the UK for microsurgical procedures to treat severe male factor infertilty and chronic testicular pain. He is the Clinical Lead for Vasectomy services in Newcastle Urologist at also works as a General Urologist at North Tyneside General Hospital.
Kevin's current research interests include male fertilty problems (experential and genomics) and has published a number of articles. He is Chair of the British Fertility Society and set up their Male Fertility Training Program and Andrology Special Interest Group. He sits as an advisor to NICE and to the HFEA on male fertility matters.
