Ophthalmology
About
After graduating, Clarke initially pursued roles in Accident and Emergency before specialising in ophthalmology. His clinical training included posts in Windsor, Southampton, and London, followed by a two-year research fellowship that led to a Doctorate in Medicine, with a focus on wound healing post-glaucoma surgery.
Appointed as a Consultant at Moorfields in 2010, Jonathan has since held key leadership roles including Joint Divisional Director for Moorfields North and Clinical Lead for industry-sponsored glaucoma trials. He is an active researcher and Principal Investigator on multiple clinical studies, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Jonathan offers a full range of glaucoma treatments, from minimally invasive procedures to advanced surgeries, and is highly experienced in modern cataract surgery and lens implant technologies.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
