Mr Jonathan David Broome is a Consultant Gynaecologist who qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1989. Having undergone general training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Manchester he undertook a further 2 year training fellowship in minimal access (keyhole) surgery at the Department of Endo-gynaecology, Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney. He was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Royal Bolton Hospital in 2000 but now works exclusively in the private sector at the Spire Manchester Hospital.
Gynaecological problems can be extremely debilitating - they can interrupt even the smallest tasks of everyday life. Many women say they feel like a brand new person having received effective and personalised treatment at the clinic. Mr Broome combines a kind, sympathetic approach with absolute discretion and professionalism when talking to his patients about a subject that is usually very private.
Research interests
Jonathan Broome is a renowned specialist in keyhole surgery having successfully treated over 2000 cases of prolapse in this way. Mr Broome's pioneering technique led to the first woman in the world being able to have a child after surgery for a prolapsed womb.
