Professor Sharma's wide range of services includes hip and knee replacement, leg-lengthening, regenerative orthopaedics, complex foot and ankle surgery, bunion surgery, deformity correction and injections.
Professor Sharma also assists young patients with arthritis in the ankle and knee, with non-union (not-healing) of bones, mal-union of bones and bone infections. Professor Sharma is an avid teacher and researcher who travels extensively within the UK and internationally, delivering lectures and teaching at various courses. Professor Sharma also runs an internationally renowned deformity course.
Professor Sharma had initial training in India and further training in Newcastle and the Yorkshire region. Professor Sharma underwent training for hip and knee arthroplasty as well as foot and ankle surgery in Yorkshire and did limb reconstruction fellowship training in Belfast and Italy. Since completing training, Professor Sharma has continued to hone their skills through practising in both the public and private health sectors.
