Mr Harry Davidson

I developed a passion for caring for ears and hearing after completing my undergraduate degree in Pharmacology at the University of Bristol. Having worked for a year in the pharmaceutical industry, I decided to pursue a career instead in a profession which was more people facing and focused, and really found my niche in Audiology. I attained a MSc in Audiology from the University of Southampton in 2004 and was accepted onto the NHS Clinical Scientist training programme at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, which I completed successfully in 2007, acquiring the Certificate of Audiological Competence, the highest level qualification in the profession. This allowed me to practice in all areas of Audiology, including adult hearing rehabilitation, paediatric audiology, and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, and over the next 10 years I successfully rehabilitated a countless number of patients with a variety of complex hearing and balance problems. In 2017, searching for new challenges for my career, I was inspired by Hearology's innovative approach to ear care and desire to increase awareness of its importance. Hearing and balance impairment and the chronic detrimental impact of ear neglect are poorly understood by the majority of the population and it is crucial that we all take better care of our ears. Hearology are pioneering the spread of this message and it is exciting to be helping with this, particularly with diversifying the service into the fascinating and challenging area of balance rehabilitation.
