During the initial consultation, patients can expect a full hour during which a full case history will be taken to help diagnose and understand the problem and possible causes. This review is important to check suitability for osteopathy as some underlying conditions may be aggravated by osteopathic treatment. Following this, a structural examination will take place to evaluate the body while standing, sitting, and lying down.
After examination, Mr Arbuckle will discuss his findings with you and begin treatment such as soft tissue massage, mobilisation of joints, and manipulation. Patient safety and comfort are paramount to Mr Arkbuckle's treatment approach and he ensures that good communication is established with all his patients and that any questions or worries are answered as they arise.
Patients will be given advice on how to reduce their symptoms with activities or exercises and any lifestyle changes to prevent the problem from happening again.
Follow up appointments are 30 minutes.
