Mr David Lawrence is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with over 24 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiothoracic conditions. He has special interests in lung cancer surgery and mitral valve surgery. He is based in London and sees private patients at the following locations:

Mr Lawrence gained his medical degree at King's College London in 1990, after which he completed his specialist training in cardiothoracic surgery at a number of renowned London Hospitals including King's College London, St George's and The Heart Hospitals.

During this time, Mr Lawrence also completed Gene Therapy research for his Master of Surgery Degree. He was first appointed as Thoracic Surgeon at the University College London Heart Hospital.

Mr Lawrence has expertise in a range of minimally invasive thoracic surgery techniques, including the Da Vinci Robotic Xi Surgical system, as well as expertise in VATS and more conventional surgical procedures. His practice has a holistic approach backed by evidence-based medicine which enables him to provide his patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.

Outside of his clinical roles, Mr Lawrence is also an active researcher and has authored over 100 papers in his area of expertise, including Lung Cancer and Adult Cardiac Surgery.
