Mr Andrew Felstead

Andrew Felstead is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with broad expertise across facial surgery, head and neck conditions, and skin cancer management. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in dentistry and medicine from University of Birmingham and University of Bristol. After qualifying in 2004, he undertook extensive surgical training across trauma and orthopaedics, general surgery, and neurosurgery, achieving the MRCS (Edinburgh). He then completed a five-year specialist training programme in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the South West of England, earning the FRCSEd (OMFS). Mr Felstead is listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and manages the full scope of the specialty. His clinical interests include facial trauma, facial deformity correction, head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, and skin cancer of the head and neck. He is an active member of both head and neck and skin cancer multidisciplinary teams within his NHS trust. He regularly treats patients requiring assessment and removal of skin lesions and soft tissue lumps, performing biopsies as well as primary and secondary excisions. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Felstead contributes to education as an honorary clinical tutor in head and neck anatomy for the Severn Deanery School of Surgery, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental students. He is also involved in research, with several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
