Mr. Aloysius Okeke is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist focus in Urological Oncology and Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Surgery. Based in Gloucestershire, Mr. Okeke has extensive experience in treating prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers. He was instrumental in pioneering laparoscopic urological surgery in Gloucestershire and has been a key figure in establishing robotic surgery in the region. Alongside his colleagues, he co-founded the Robocap Charity, which is dedicated to advancing robotic surgery in the counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, and Herefordshire.
After graduating in 1986, Mr. Okeke completed his House Officer training at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu, rotating through General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Surgery. He furthered his training in General Practice as part of his National Youth Service, followed by full surgical training at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he conducted research on Cryptorchidism and earned the FWACS and FMCS fellowships.
Mr. Okeke’s clinical expertise covers a wide range of urological procedures, including Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy, Laparoscopic nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, and transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) and bladder tumours (TURBT). His broader clinical interests include General Urology, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), men’s health, testicular and scrotal pain, scrotal swellings and penoscrotal conditions.
