Professor Zeinah's research focuses on off-pump coronary surgery and myocardial protection. He is an active member of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland, the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the British Medical Association (BMA).
His professional journey began in Egypt, where he trained for seven years at Ain Shams University and became a Consultant in adult cardiac surgery in 2009. Seeking to further his expertise, he moved to the UK and completed fellowships at renowned institutions such as Southampton, St Thomas' Hospital, Freeman, Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. During his time at Oxford, he had the privilege of working with Professor David Taggart, a world authority on off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery, which greatly enhanced his skills and knowledge.
Professor Zeinah's research on Bi-Atrial electrocautery maze for treating chronic atrial fibrillation earned him an MD from Ain Shams University. He also holds a Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England (2008), a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (2012), and is a Fellow of the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery (FETCS, 2015). Additionally, he received his Cardiothoracic Surgery CCT from Oxford University Hospitals in 2015.
