Miss Jennifer Hu is an Oncoplastic and Reconstruction Breast Consultant at Barts NHS Trust and she also sees patients privately at London Bridge Hospital. She was appointed in early 2013 to be the Lead Screening Surgeon for the Central and East London Breast Screening Service and for the past three years, has been the Clinical Lead of Breast Services at Barts. She cares for patients with early and advanced breast cancer and undertakes all aspects of resectional and reconstructive breast surgery, working with plastic surgical colleagues on autologous free flap reconstructions
Miss Hu undertook surgical training mainly in London after graduating from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. She also has a PhD in the treatment of breast cancer, using a novel oncolytic virus. She also has a specialist interest in counselling and risk reducing surgery with high risk patients for developing breast cancer and in revisional reconstructive breast surgery.
