About Dr Michael Batterham
Dr Batterham is a highly specialised Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. They are a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Dr Batterham has a keen interest in eating disorders and held a joint leadership position with the Flinders Paediatric Eating Disorder Service. They have also led the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Hospital Liaison Service at Flinders Medical Centre. In addition to their clinical work, Dr Batterham has contributed to the development of the SA State-wide Paediatric Eating Disorder Service. Their experience extends to various roles, including Clinical Lecturer at Flinders University, community CAMHS, private practice, Disability SA, Refugee Health Service, and Headspace Telehealth. Dr Batterham is a respected member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders. They are actively involved in sharing their expertise by presenting at conferences and conducting clinician training programmes on eating disorders across Australia.
