Dr Meredith Tassone is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 25 years of consultant practice, providing comprehensive care across all stages of women’s health. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 1989, before undertaking specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Mercy Hospital for Women and in the United Kingdom. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 1998.
Dr Tassone has extensive expertise in managing both high and low risk pregnancies, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care. Her clinical interests also include contraception, menstrual management, menopause care, and hormone replacement therapy, enabling her to provide holistic, lifelong care tailored to each patient’s needs.

“We had such a great experience with Dr Meredith, we felt supported and understood through our whole pregnancy. We went through the Embrace Program through St Vincent’s, shared care between a midwife and obstetrician and found it a really great option for us. My baby was presenting breech at 37 weeks and Meredith spoke to us about all of our options never ruling out anything we wanted to discuss. In the end we opted for a planned cesarean and it really was a wonderful experience. Meredith was so kind throughout the whole day and we truly loved it. My recovery was great and I put it down to Merediths work. The whole theatre team was lovely. Thank you Dr Meredith - Jalinda, Josh, Joy and baby June”
