About Dr Matthew Tait
Dr Tait is a neurosurgeon. Dr Tait is an active member of a multidisciplinary cancer care team that coordinates care for people with brain or spinal cord cancer. Dr Tait is committed to medical research and is a Senior Lecturer at a university. Their current research interests are in investigating techniques to reduce post-operative pain following spinal surgery to make operations safer and less pleasant for patients. They are also working to develop better ways to identify which patients will benefit from surgery so that patients do not undergo ineffective procedures. Dr Tait graduated top of their year winning the Norman Dott medal for the most outstanding performance.
