About
Dr Johnson completed her Bachelor's degree at James Cook University in 2005. In 2013 she was awarded a Fellowship from the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), and received an additional Fellowship in 2016 from the Australian and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA). Dr Johnson shares her expertise by teaching on RACS courses (ASSET and CcRISP), her main teaching interests are surgical techniques for Gallbladder Surgery, Gastroscopy, Advanced Oesophageal and Gastric Surgery, Hernia Surgery and Gastric and Oesophageal Cancer. She has been on the RACS Victorian State Committee and had a position as a professional advisor on the St Vincent's Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee.
In addition to her wealth of professional experience, Dr Johnson has been an active researcher in the field. Her main research interests involve improving the quality of life for patients after major oesophago-gastric surgery. She has shared her passion for research by presenting her work at conferences globally.
