About Dr Mark Wylie

Dr. Mark Wylie is a British Psychological Society Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents, primarily within the NHS and more recently in private healthcare settings. He trained in clinical health psychology at the University of Bristol and has additional post-qualification training in systemic approaches to chronic illness, including family and organisational dynamics. Dr. Wylie has extensive experience in working with developmental conditions, such as autism, Asperger Syndrome, and learning disabilities in a variety of settings, including family, residential, and in-patient environments. In a previous NHS role, he co-founded and developed an attachment service for young children within NHS community paediatrics. Dr. Wylie provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as parental support. He also offers training and consultation on a range of topics, including attachment, autism spectrum conditions, stress management, lifespan development, transitions to adulthood, and coping with chronic health conditions. As a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society, Dr. Wylie’s approach is warm, empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative. His goal is to provide a safe, comfortable space for clients to discuss their difficulties and explore helpful psychological approaches. Dr. Wylie has worked in NHS inpatient services, community autism and learning disability teams, and intensive support teams for families dealing with the challenges of complex autism. He also has experience in specialist educational and residential services for young people with autism and has worked in specialist fostering and residential care services for young people who are looked after, acting as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and regional clinical lead.

"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
