The last part of his training was mainly in Cardio-respiratory at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust. He is also an honorary consultant at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust.
Dr Jawad is known for his expertise in cardiology, respiratory, and allergies. He is also an organiser and examiner for MRCPCH examinations in the UK and internationally. He has contributed to two major textbooks in Paediatrics and has chaired the South Thames Paediatric Respiratory Group for 10 years between 1993 and 2003.
