He obtained a PhD in Neurosurgery from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Dr Algahwary also holds a Neurosurgical French AFSA from the University of Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France, and a fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in the UK and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Surgical Neurology.
