About Dr Kenn Lim
I’ve been a Consultant Gynaecologist at Salford Royal Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance, since September 2020. My primary focus is on minimal access surgery within gynaecology, particularly advanced laparoscopic techniques. I received my training at the Northwest Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Centre at St. Mary’s Hospital in Manchester, where I honed my skills in minimal access surgery. In my role at the NHS, I lead the gynaecology theatre and successfully introduced day case hysterectomy at the hospital. As a result of this initiative, our unit now boasts one of the highest day case hysterectomy rates in the region. From an educational standpoint, I am involved with the faculty of the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) programme under the BSGE in the UK. I also enjoy teaching medical students and serve as an OSCE examiner at Manchester Medical School. Over the years, I have organised numerous courses in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques for trainees. In 2024, I was nominated for the Trainer of the Year award in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Outside of my professional life, I cherish time with my wife and two children. I also have a passion for enhancing my skills in aerial photography and videography using my drone.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
