About
Following qualification, Mr. Barber undertook a rotational post at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, gaining experience in tissue viability, minor surgery, biomechanics, gait analysis, and MSK podiatry. He currently holds a senior specialist position in MSK podiatry at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Bexley, within Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr. Barber has a particular interest in sports-related injuries, especially among endurance athletes such as runners and triathletes. He has supported elite athletes as part of the London Marathon medical team and worked with participants in Action Challenge ultra-marathon events. In 2022, he completed an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London.
His treatment portfolio includes custom foot orthoses, footwear advice, tailored exercise programmes, injection therapy, and nail surgery. He is especially focused on biomechanics and gait analysis to inform treatment planning.
Mr. Barber is HCPC registered and a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and the Royal College of Podiatry.
