About Dr John Lindsay
Dr. John Lindsay is a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Medicine at the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. His special interests include diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid conditions, pituitary and adrenal diseases, and general medicine.
Dr. Lindsay graduated from Queen's University Belfast in 1996, where he also completed postgraduate training and diabetes research. He further honed his skills with a clinical fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2009 and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast.
As the clinical lead for the Belfast Osteoporosis & Bone Metabolism Service, Dr. Lindsay has dedicated much of his career to advancing the understanding and treatment of metabolic bone diseases. Research interests have included osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, the role of GIP and GLP-1 in type 2 diabetes, and pituitary conditions including Cushing’s syndrome.
