About Miss Joanna Tsintaris
Joanna is an HCPC registered Dietitian, Metabolic health, Weight loss and Type 2 diabetes specialist. She holds a Biomedical Science degree with a First Class MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a strong scientific background and a passion for evidence-based research and practice. She has several years of experience in the public sector as a Specialist Dietitian at the NHS weight management and Type 2 diabetes service. She also has extensive experience in private healthcare, working in digital health and the pharmaceutical industry. She helps yo-yo dieters break the cycle, offering tools and knowledge to nourish their bodies. With a compassionate, evidence-based approach, she empowers clients to make choices that enhance their health and relationship with food. She inspires her clients to make positive lifestyle changes to manage their weight and health conditions such as pre-diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS, dyslipidaemia, fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, underactive thyroid, and more. She also has clinical experience supporting clients manage emotional eating, disordered eating and binge eating. She offers compassionate and person-centred care which challenges weight stigma and rejects diet culture. She takes pride in practising with a holistic outlook, focusing on nutrition, movement, sleep cycles and stress management to support her clients in living their healthiest and happiest lives. She is half Scottish half Greek, and before she moved to Scotland she was raised on the Greek island Crete, making her familiar with the Cretan Mediterranean diet, probably the most representative of all Mediterranean diets for heart health.
