Dr. Ismail Ghorbel is a highly experienced Specialist in Radiation Oncology with expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques and the management of complex cancers. He is currently practicing at Advanced Care Oncology Centre, where he provides personalised, evidence-based cancer care using the latest radiation technologies.
Dr. Ghorbel earned his MBBS from Tunis–University Al Manar, Tunisia, in 2001 before pursuing advanced oncology training in France at the renowned Gustave Roussy Institute. There, he obtained a Medical Degree in Clinical Carcinology, completed a specialised degree in radiotherapy for head and neck cancers, and undertook a fellowship in Radiation Oncology.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Ghorbel gained extensive clinical experience in Saudi Arabia, working at King Salman Armed Forces Hospital and King Abdullah Medical City. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis–University Al Manar, contributing to medical education and academic training. Alongside this Dr. Ghorbel is a member of both the European and American Societies for Radiotherapy and Oncology.
His professional interests include advanced radiation techniques such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy, Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy and Deep Inspiration Breath Hold.
