Prof. Dr. med. Gollwitzer zeichnet sich durch seine langjährige Erfahrung in der komplexen Endoprothetik bei Dysplasie und Fehlstellungen, in der Deformitätenkorrektur sowie in der Behandlung von Endoprothesenlockerungen aus. Patienten profitieren von seinen innovativen Methoden der minimalinvasiven Hüftchirurgie, die eine schonende und gelenkerhaltende Versorgung ermöglichen. Auch bei fortgeschrittenem Gelenkverschleiß, der sogenannten Arthrose, bietet er seinen Patienten durch seine Kenntnisse in der individualisierten und modularen Prothetik einen kompletten Gelenkersatz an.
Sein Medizinstudium absolvierte Prof. Dr. med. Gollwitzer an der Technischen Universität München. Nach seinem Studium folgte die Facharztausbildung in der Klinik für Orthopädie und Sportorthopädie am Klinikum Rechts der Isar der TU München sowie in der Abteilung für Unfall- und Wiederherstellungschirurgie an der Berufsgenossenschaftlichen Unfallklinik Murnau. Prof. Dr. med. Gollwitzer ist Mitglied der European Hip Society und Präsident der Deutschen Hüftgesellschaft e.V..
Prof. Dr. med. Gollwitzer ist national und international als Experte auf seinem Gebiet anerkannt und engagiert sich in der Aus- und Weiterbildung von Ärzten.
