About Dr Gayathri Kumarasinghe
Dr Kumarasinghe is a clinical and academic cardiologist. They graduated from the University of New South Wales and undertook cardiology training at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. Dr Kumarasinghe was awarded FRACP in 2012. They completed a PhD through UNSW, with research undertaken at Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, in the field of cardiac transplantation. Dr Kumarasinghe has received postgraduate research scholarships through the National Heart Foundation and the Cardiac Society of Australia, as well as grants from St. Vincent's Clinic Foundation.
Dr Kumarasinghe sees patients in all aspects of general cardiology. Their PhD research earned them the President's Prize and Young Investigator Awards from the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand. They have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented their research internationally.
