Zusätzlich erwarb er die Ergänzungsqualifikation Gruppenpsychotherapie gemäß Psychotherapievereinbarung und absolvierte eine Weiterbildung in „Progressiver Muskelrelaxation nach Jacobson“. Herr Hegemann ist Mitglied in der Psychotherapeutenkammer Bayern und der Deutschen Psychotherapeuten Vereinigung.
