Dr. Romanos uses cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques to help world-renowned athletes get back in the game.
He completed his fellowship training in the world-renowned University of British Columbia in Canada, where he gained extensive experience in joint reconstruction and helped hundreds of patients regain their joint mobility and independence.
Dr. Romanos is particularly skilled in minimally invasive arthroscopic shoulder surgery for rotator cuff repair, SLAP tears, shoulder instability, subacromial impingement, and acromioclavicular arthropathy. He is also an expert in minimally invasive arthroscopic knee surgery for ligament reconstructions and repairs around the knee (ACL, PCL, PLC, MCL, etc.), meniscus repair, high tibial osteotomy, and patellar instability. In addition, he performs hip and knee reconstructive surgery, including minimally invasive total hip replacement using a direct anterior approach, total knee replacement using robotic navigation, complex total hips and knees revision arthroplasties, periprosthetic fractures, and periprosthetic infections.
Dr. Romanos holds an MBBS from the University of Saint Joseph, a Diploma of Specialized Training in Trauma and Sports Injuries from the University of Lille, France, and a Fellowship in Joints Reconstruction from the University of British Columbia, Canada. He also has a Master of Healthcare Management from the University of McMaster, Canada.
