Dr. Castiello is a dedicated educator,  serving as Immediate Past President of the Cardiology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, leading training programs for cardiologists, and now Dean's Advisoryt Board. She actively contributes to international cardiology societies, namely the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), where she serves on committees and working groups (WG) , notably in the Myocardial and Pericardial Disease WG as Executive Board Member and Communication Coordinatoor,  in the Genomic Council of the ESC and in the Inflammatory Cardiomyopathy Committee of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC.

She is equally passionate about patient education. As a science communicator, she actively engages in disseminating medical knowledge to the public through various channels, including radio, podcasts, television, and newspaper interviews.

Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, she founded MIAL Healthcare, a specialized clinical service focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and integrating digital innovation in cardiovascular care.  She is also a strong advocate for women in healthcare and promotes equity within the field.
