Dr Tarek Antonios is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Cardiovascular and General Medicine, specialising in geriatric and cardiovascular care. He leads the Blood Pressure Unit at St George’s Hospital, London, and is internationally recognised for his pioneering research in microcirculation and small vessel abnormalities in cardiovascular disease.
With particular expertise in essential and resistant hypertension, pregnancy-associated hypertensive disorders (including preeclampsia), microvascular angina, and hypertensive heart failure, Dr Antonios brings decades of experience to both clinical practice and academic medicine. His research, funded by the British Heart Foundation, has been presented at numerous international conferences and continues to inform best practice in managing complex hypertensive conditions.
