About Dr Ralph Abraham
Dr Ralph Abraham received his medical education at Oxford University and went on to complete a PhD in Biochemistry studying insulin resistance in a genetic model of obesity. He went on to train as an academic Physician at the University of London, gaining valuable experience at a number of esteemed hospitals including Kings College Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and St Bartholomew's Hospital. In 1991, Dr Abraham founded London Medical, now an established private clinic dedicated to providing unrivalled patient care in high quality, state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities in diabetes, endocrinology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, cardiology, general practice and obesity. It is now owned by BUPA. Dr Abraham is a full-time Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipid Disorders at the London Medical. He specialises in all aspects of diabetes but particularly using pumps and sensors in adults and in children as well as having a specialist interest in lipid management and prevention of heart attack or stroke. Dr Abraham also speaks French and Italian and was included in Tatler's Top 250 Consultants by specialty in 2013.
