About Dr Philip Moore
Dr. Philip Moore is a highly experienced consultant cardiologist. He is experienced in all aspects of general cardiology and regularly sees patients with symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations and blackouts. He performing non-invasive outpatient investigations such as ECG, echocardiography (ultrasound of heart), holter ECG monitoring and blood pressure monitoring. Dr. Moore is a specialist in implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and biventricular pacing) and specialises in heart rhythm disorders. He implants pacemakers and defibrillators and supervises long term follow-up and programming; ensuring that patients are supported in their recovery from surgery and creating excellent outcomes. As well as his busy practice, Dr. Moore is a passionate educator and is heavily involved in the training of cardiology junior doctors and specialist registrars. He is also the course organiser for ECG training courses for doctors, nurses and paramedics and teaches extensively on pacemaker training courses nationally and internationally. He chaired the recent European Society of Cardiology Committee responsible for producing the 2024 Training Curriculum for Cardiologists specialising in heart rhythm disorders and pacemaker and cardiac device implantation.
