About Dr Patrick Dubois
Dr Dubois is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist, bringing over two decades of clinical expertise to his private practice. Dr Dubois completed undergraduate studies (BA) at Oxford University before reading medicine at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals, graduating with distinction in 2001. He undertook his gastroenterology at central London teaching hospitals. Dr Dubois was awarded a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship in 2006. He attained a PhD in 2011 for research into the genetic causes of intestinal inflammatory conditions including Coeliac disease and Crohn's disease before being appointed a Consultant at King's College Hospital in 2012. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He sees private patients at: • The London Bridge Hospital (HCA) • The Shard Outpatients (HCA) • Canary Wharf Outpatients (HCA) • King's Private Specialist Expertise: Coeliac Disease & IBD Dr Dubois is widely recognised for his expertise in Coeliac disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). • Coeliac Disease: Underpinned by his PhD research, he is frequently consulted for second opinions regarding patients with coeliac disease with persistent symptoms or complications. • Inflammatory Bowel Disease: He leads the IBD Service at King's College Hospital, and set up a dedicated clinic/service for young adults with IBD together with paediatric colleagues. General Gastroenterology alongside his specialist work, Dr Dubois offers expert management for a wide range of common gastroenterological conditions. He frequently helps patients manage: • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) • Bloating and abdominal pain • Acid reflux and indigestion • Diarrhoea and constipation Patient-Centred Care & Multidisciplinary Approach Dr Dubois believes in a holistic approach to gastroenterology, dedicating ample time during consultations to ensure patients feel heard and understood. To achieve the best care and outcomes, he works closely with a wider team, including dietitians, psychologists, and other specialists. Endoscopy Dr Dubois is an accomplished endoscopist and colonoscopist, performing procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
