Dr Jonathan Swan
Cardiology
About
Dr Swan believes that each patient is unique and he allows for as much time as needed for each appointment. He understands that patients want answers and treatment options and is clear about the next steps you need to take. He also ensures to communicate clearly with his patients to help them fully understand their condition.
Dr Swan gained his medical qualifications in 1983 from the University of Manchester before undertaking cardiology training at a number of major teaching hospitals in London including the Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Institute and King's College Hospital. In 1994, he gained an MD in cardiology for his research into cholesterol measurement. He was then appointed as a consultant cardiologist and was instrumental in the development of a new interventional cardiology service for the North West of England.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
