Dr Jasveer Mangat is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist based in London at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He completed his medical degree, with an intercalated degree in Physiology (1996), at the University of Liverpool in 2000. He later undertook his postgraduate training in Liverpool and London, during which is completed a fellowship in electrophysiology. Dr Mangat became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2004. He also holds certificate in Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Advanced Life Support and is a certified Cardiac Device Specialist following the completion of his IBHR Exam in 2011.
Working alongside his team, Dr Mangat sees children with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including: supraventricular tachycardia, pericarditis, paediatric congenital heart disease, heart murmur, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, Kawasaki disease, palpitations, breathlessness, loss of consciousness, valvular heart disease and fainting. He specialises in electrophysiology, cardiac ablation, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and pacemakers.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mangat has research interests in improving cardiac ablation therapy and pacemaker procedure outcomes, as well as improving the quality of life of children with arrhythmias.
