About Dr James Warner
Dr James Warner is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director of Halcyon Doctors. He specialises in older adult psychiatry and he has a special interest in dementia, depression and psychosis. Dr Warner was the UK representative for Old Age Psychiatry in the World Psychiatric Association and in 2012-2016 he was elected Chair of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Warner has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet, The Journal of Medical Ethics, and The International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry. Some of the conditions he treats are: • Depression • Alzheimer's disease • Vascular dementia • Lewy body dementia • Other dementias • Anxiety states including panic disorder and generalised anxiety • Schizophrenia and other causes of psychosis He also has extensive experience conducting mental capacity assessments and other medico-legal work. Dr Warner offers discrete home visits in London and surrounding counties, but he can also see patients at selected private consulting rooms.
