Dr Hamilton McBrien is the Medical Director and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Roehampton in Barnes, where he is also the leader of the Adolescent Mental Health inpatient unit.



He undertook his medical training in Belfast where he stayed and worked as a physician before beginning his psychiatry training in Glasgow. He completed his postgraduate training in Dublin followed by higher specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry in hospitals across London. Dr McBrien has had several consultancy and Medical Director posts in the NHS and private practice in the UK, before moving to the Priory Hospital Roehampton in 2015. He has also had higher training in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and experience with young people with complex and high-risk mental presentations.
