Most recently, he held the role of Senior Clinical Psychologist with a Children’s Disability Network Team, where autism assessment and intervention formed a central part of his work. In this role, Diarmaid conducted comprehensive autism assessments for children as part of a multidisciplinary team and provided therapeutic support to autistic adolescents and their families.
Alongside his public sector experience, Diarmaid has significant expertise in delivering multidisciplinary autism assessments within the private sector, having worked with two established private services before founding his own practice in 2022.
In his therapeutic work, Diarmaid draws on a range of evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and behavioural approaches.
