About
In 2007, Dr Patel was appointed to the St George’s Hospital London Radiology training programme and was later appointed as the Specialist Ultrasound Fellow at St George’s Hospital from 2011 to 2012. He then combined this with a further role as the London Deanery Advanced Cardiac CT Fellow.
In October 2012, Dr Patel was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation. His main clinical interests include General ultrasound including interventional, musculoskeletal and Uroradiology. He is known for his high volume reporting of Urological and abdominal cross sectional scans including multiparametric prostate and liver MRI.
Dr Patel is the Clinical Lead for Ultrasound at Frimley Park Hospital and has extensive experience in US guided biopsy / FNA and microbubble-contrast enhanced Ultrasound. He has also established the new technique of microbubble-contrast enhanced Ultrasound at the hospital. In addition to his areas of special interest, Dr Patel also provides general radiology imaging services including CT and MRI imaging.
Dr Patel has published several peer-reviewed papers and is actively involved in research. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and is also a member of several professional organisations including the British Medical Association and the British Society of Urogenital Radiology.
