Dr Chinmay Khandkar is a Consultant Cardiologist with a subspecialist focus on coronary artery disease and preventive cardiology. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (with Distinction) at the University of New South Wales and holds a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. He undertook his specialist cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he obtained his FRACP qualification. Dr Khandkar has also completed the American Society of Echocardiography National Board Certification Examination and serves as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney, contributing to teaching and academic development in cardiology. He is currently undertaking a PhD supported by NHMRC and Heart Foundation scholarships, with research focusing on non-obstructive coronary artery disease syndromes, particularly improving diagnosis and management of these conditions. Clinically, he provides comprehensive cardiology care with an emphasis on prevention, early detection of cardiovascular disease, and long-term risk reduction.
