Dr. Bernadette Hanna is a Clinical Geneticist with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing genetic conditions in children, as well as connective tissue disorders. She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and trained in Paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead before specialising in Clinical Genetics, where she found her passion at the intersection of genetic research and patient care.
Dr. Hanna has worked across several leading Clinical Genetics services, including Sydney Children’s Hospital (Randwick), The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and a Fellow of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA).
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hanna has contributed significantly to medical education and leadership. She previously Co-Chaired the RACP Trainee Committee and regularly delivers teaching sessions to trainee doctors, paediatricians, and obstetricians on the appropriate use and interpretation of genetic testing in clinical practice.
