Mr Ben McChesney is an Australian-trained osteopath, graduating from RMIT in 2002, and the founder of Balance Osteopathy in Melbourne. His early career in innovative, movement-focused and multidisciplinary clinics inspired him to create a practice that blends hands on treatment with functional rehabilitation.
After relocating to London, Ben spent six years working with a wide range of clients at Pure Sports Medicine, Harrods Occupational Health, and several private practices. During this time, he completed a master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation at St Mary’s University and gained valuable experience through an internship with Fulham Football Club. In 2010, he broadened his expertise with a Diploma of Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute (USA), specialising in functional assessment and rehabilitation. Ben also lectured at leading UK institutions, teaching the integration of biomechanics and rehabilitation into osteopathic practice, a role he continues today at Victoria University.
At Balance Osteopathy, Ben combines thorough movement assessment with tailored osteopathic treatment and rehabilitation. His approach focuses on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing performance. Whether treating back pain, sports injuries, or chronic conditions, Ben is dedicated to helping people of all ages move with greater ease and return to the activities they love.
