About

Beatrice is an accomplished acute paediatrician with over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine, critical care, neonates, and general paediatrics. Currently a consultant at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, she divides her time between the emergency department and general paediatric clinics. She also serves as the Lead for the Paediatric High Dependency Unit, a newly established service she developed from the ground up.

Beatrice began her undergraduate training in the USA after earning a full tennis scholarship, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She then worked as a research associate at St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where she gained valuable research skills but ultimately discovered her true passion for clinical medicine. Pursuing this passion, she entered medical training at The University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduating near the top of her class in 2006.

Her postgraduate journey included a two-year internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and a year of community service at a rural hospital in the Eastern Cape. She then moved to the UK for higher specialist training, completing her postgraduate paediatric training in London. During this period, she rotated through several centres of excellence, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Evelina Children's Hospital, The Royal Brompton Hospital, Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She completed her general paediatric training with a special interest in paediatric high dependency care in early 2021, subsequently taking on her consultant role at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
