About Mr Anindya Niyogi
Mr Anindya Niyogi is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at the Guthrie Clinic, King’s College Hospital, where he has been part of the surgical team since 2020. His clinical expertise spans general paediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, and minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures for children. After graduating in Medicine from Calcutta in 2001, Mr Niyogi undertook extensive paediatric surgical training across seven major centres in the UK. He went on to complete his specialist registrar training at the Great North Children’s Hospital in Newcastle, achieving his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2018. Before joining King’s, he was a consultant at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Niyogi is deeply committed to medical education. He holds a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education and serves as a GMC PLAB examiner. He is also co-founder and faculty member of the SPRINT international virtual education programme in paediatric surgery, which provides innovative teaching for trainees worldwide. Mr Niyogi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the European Board of Paediatric Surgeons. He also belongs to the Faculty of Surgical Trainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
