He then undertook advanced fellowship training in electrophysiology and cardiac pacing at East Sussex NHS Trust and Barts Heart Centre, gaining full national and international accreditation in both subspecialties.

In recognition of his contributions to the field of cardiology, Dr Ammar was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2023 and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology in 2024.

He manages a broad range of cardiac conditions and is a highly skilled operator in device implantation procedures—including permanent pacemakers, biventricular pacemakers, conduction system pacing, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators—as well as catheter ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and premature ventricular contractions, using the latest technologies.
