He holds a Master's degree in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University. He completed his training with the Saudi Board in General Surgery and further honed his skills by undertaking two fellowships in Canada at the University of British Columbia, specialising in Trauma and Critical Care Surgery, and Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Majmaah University and is an active member of several professional organisations. His memberships include the Saudi Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), and the American Society for Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
