Dr. Abdelazim Mohamed Mabrouk Ali is an experienced paediatrician with over 30 years of practice in paediatrics and child health, and he serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in paediatrics. He has worked internationally in Sudan and Saudi Arabia before moving to the United Arab Emirates, where he has contributed extensively at Al Ain Hospital, in school health, and in ambulatory care. In these roles, he has conducted specialist paediatric clinics in primary care, addressing a range of issues including general paediatrics, well-baby care, enuresis, asthma, obesity, ADHD, and joint paediatric and child psychiatry services.
Dr. Abdelazim is academically active, teaching and examining medical students and postgraduate trainees in paediatrics, family medicine, and psychiatry, and he regularly presents at medical conferences in the UAE and abroad. He has participated in several research studies and has published many papers in international medical journals. His commitment to education and patient care has been recognised with the Excellence in Teaching Award from the College of Medicine, UAE University, and the Seha Abu Dhabi Excellence Award for Best Doctor.
Dr. Abdelazim's core competencies include the evaluation and management of children from birth to 18 years old. He is skilled in managing asthma and allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, eczema, urticaria, and food allergies; in treating nocturnal enuresis; and in monitoring and managing childhood obesity. He is experienced in assessing and managing ADHD, functional gastrointestinal disorders in infants (including infantile colic, constipation, and regurgitation), and various school health problems. Additionally, he provides care for children with Down syndrome, oversees regular well-baby clinic follow-ups, diagnoses and manages cow’s milk protein allergy, and addresses behavioural and developmental issues, growth problems, and failure to thrive.
Dr. Abdelazim also manages acute paediatric conditions such as fever, cough, colds, diarrhoea, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections, tonsillitis, and otitis media, as well as chronic diseases including anaemia, thyroid disorders, and adenoids.
