Letham Park care home is situated the Trinity area of Edinburgh. The home sits on the same grounds as the Mathieson House care home and offers specialised nursing care for elderly residents.
Continuing to improve wherever possible, the care home is currently undergoing a refurbishment project to upgrade the interior design of the property. Despite these works going on, the home continues to provide a high standard of personalised care throughout with minimal disruption for residents. Residents are involved in the decorating choices offering input and preferences to the look and style, ensuring that there is a homely feel to the renovations.
Letham Park provides nursing care for up to 50 residents, living within single occupancy, en suite, rooms. The home offers a welcoming and homely experience where the dedicated team will support all residents to add personal belongings to ensure you remain connected to your loved ones throughout your stay.
Letham Park also offers several lounge areas offering social space where residents are able to spend time with friends and family, in addition to lounges for those who may prefer to sit back and relax.
There are two conservatories which provide the perfect connection to the outdoors and the private gardens enjoyed by the home, offering tranquil sitting areas and the perfect location for enjoying summer days.
Our registered nurses and fully trained care staff provide 24 hour nursing and general care. In addition, a full range of healthcare services can be accessed via the local GP including services as dental care or vision care.
The team are dedicated to creating an environment that provides optimal wellbeing for their residents, this includes communication with families and loved ones such that a care plan can be created that personalised care can be given according to the individual needs of every patient.
The chef at Letham Park will meet with all residents on arrival to discuss personal likes and dislikes as well as allergens and dietary requirements. Meals and home baking are prepared in the kitchen by a team of experienced cooks. Menus are rotated and refreshed regularly, with options suited to all palettes. All menus (which include a vegetarian option) are designed to ensure that all residents receive a nutritious, well-balanced diet which meets their individual needs.
Other services provided at Letham Park also include (but not limited to) an in-house laundry service for all personal clothing, fully planned activities and wellbeing programme, hairdressing, visits from podiatry specialist, newspaper delivery and holistic therapies.
